August 2013;- An island on the north east coast of England reached by a causeway which the tide covers daily. Holy Island not only has the very photogenic Lindisfarne Castle but miles of beautiful beaches and sand dunes which quite often have no one on them despite thousands of folk going to the castle. Seabirds are plentiful as are flowers and grasses and seals can be seen basking and waiting for the tide to come in. So, spent the day in the dunes and on the beautiful beaches. Great.
